Deb Andvik PA is originally from Meritor, Minnesota. She began her career in healthcare as an RN. After graduating from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in Fargo. Deb worked in the FamilyBirth Center at MeritCare Hospital for 22 years. In 1998, she completed the Physician Assistant Program at the University of NorthDakota in Grand Forks.
Deb is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and licensed by the North Dakota Board of Medical Examiners. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Dakota Academy of Physician Assistants. Deb practiced at MeritCare's South Pointe Clinic in Family Practice from 1998 through February of 2004. In March of 2004 she joined Plains Medical clinic where she practices under the supervision of Dr. Joel Schock and Dr. Hoadley Harris.
In addition to managing acute and chronic conditions, Deb's focus is on women's health. As a mother who has raised four children, Deb thoroughly enjoys and relates well to her teenage patients. She also has a special interest perimenopause and menopausal concerns and bio-identical hormones.
Deb stresses wellness and healthy choices along with recommended health screening procedures for her patients. Deb resides in Moorhead with her husband Mike. She enjoys reading, hiking, biking, cross country, skiing, and spending time with her grown children. |
